This is a page about the shows shows created and performed by Bradford based poet, writer and showman Glyn Watkins. At present he is working towards the 2019 Bring Back St. Blaise Festival; something he first tried to do almost a decade ago.
St Blaise was an Armenian Bishop and the Patron Saint of woolcombers.
His day’s 3rd Feb. Bradford’s woolcombers organised massive processions, but the last was in 1825!
Glyn has created Blaise walks & shows for several years, Salamander Brewery are backing next year’s St. Blaise over the Weekend of 1st – 3rd Feb. but it still needs help, support, shows and sponsors.

I believe St Blaine is the patron saint of Dubrovnik, is that right? And he pops up in a lot of other places as well.
Hi Lorraine. St Blaise is indeed the Patron of Dubrovnik; as well as Armenia and a good few other places. Catholics tend to celebration him as the Patron of Throat problems, the woolcombing is more or less forgotten. St Blazy in Cornwell however had reintroduced that as a celebration on 3rd Feb.
